Teagan went on a field trip with his preschool to a local pet store and was sent home with a gold fish. Teagan would sit on the counter and talk to his fish and even play with his action figures with the fish...don't ask me how...he's got a great imagination. Teagan named him Fish Fishie John. Sooooo cute! Well, Fish Fishie John only lived 4 days. Soooo sad! But we had a good talk about the whole thing and now Teagan wants 4 sharks to replace his gold fish. Hmmmm. Maybe when we move into our new house. Better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all....right.

We have found that goldfish don't last very long in bowls, beta's are better. However do only buy them from pet stores. The ones from Walmart tend to die quickly. (This is from the experience of three "Whiskers" passing away.) Our current whiskers is over two years old and was bought from the best pet store around.
